Have you ever cosplayed before, were you part of a group or alone? planning to cosplay in the furture? discuss it here
I've Cosplayed a couple of times
once as my character Rai in her older costume... cause i wanted to make it and it was fun... might make her new outfit just for fun as well
also i've cosplayed as Flonne from disgaea... really fun costume but i never wanna make ruffles like that ever again.
i wanted to cosplay as Haruhi this year but too many people are doing it... so who knows... we'll see ^^

I've never cosplayed, but I would LOVE to. Most likely as one of my characters ( BF Kat or Reine top that list ) rather than pre-existing sorts, but it would be oh-so fun :D

Roronoa Zoro from One Piece is gonna happen next year at Anime North. The swords are gonna be the only tough part, and I need three of 'em.

This is what I'm doing next year for AN, and maybe FAN too:
I'm useless with a needle and thread, so when I make a costume all of my effort goes into the accessories and effects. This is a Demon Nurse from Silent Hill, and the slutty nurse outfit is one you can find at any shop near Halloween. It's gonna be tough to get the gauzy, decaying look on the face, but I've done a lot of ghostly makeup lately and it's time for a change of pace. Best part is, if it doesn't work at all there's a version of these monsters that have human faces and hair, which will make my life easier.
I'd love to do this:
but I haven't figured out a good way to cover my eyes with that much gore and still be able to see. In Fatal Frame, this ghostly woman appears frequently to harass you, but she can only track you by listening to your footfalls. Her eyes were pierced out as a part of a ritual . . . I guess it'll just have to wait until I can figure it out!

This forum grants wishes . . . I said I wanted a means by which to poke my eyes out without the excrutiating pain or ensuing blindess, and I just recently found a prosthetic that covers your eyes and gives them the appearance of being gouged out.
My world is a happy place now that I can gouge out my own eyes. Yes, I know I'm a sick person.
I'll try the makeup out soon, and if it works well I'll post a picture.

That's awesome! You could probably make a job out of creating costumes for people. I like the idea of cosplaying too, but my inability to tell one end of a needle from the other hinders the process somewhat .
Some people can create such stunning costumes.

Awww, there there . . . it's okay now . . .
Is Haruhi from Host Club? I just typed "Haruhi" into Google and looked for the anime title I recognized . . . *is out of the loop*
I don't really have any idea what you're into, but so long as you have sewing skills and resourcefulness the possibilities are pretty much endless. I have faith in you. And besides . . . we still have eight months or so . . .
