Ulick nodded at Roeta's suggestion. "mages would be an excellent addition to the hunting parties. They will give our forces a definate edge on the raiders."

He made no reaction to Dieter grabbing hold of him, staring at the ceiling. He whispered a quicker, quieter "Thank you" to Anca as she walked by, inaudible to any of the others. "So, who are all of you?" He asked idly, letting his head and hair fall back.

Dieter bit his lip a little. "I'm Dieter- " before he go to finish Reine piped up.
"I'm Reine Avial, blue mage and chaos maker. The one in a dress is Yosette De Abingara, the only person of her family that hasn't been stripped of their title."
The girl glared at Reine. "I can introduce myself. Refrain from doing it for me in the future."

The feline was happy to see her as well, so much so that she was purring.

Reota looked thoughtful. "Do you have any more suggestions?"

Ulick locked eyes with the princess "Just this; Make sure you have an effective leader for this. Someone willing and able to use whatever unpleasant or ruthless tatics may be necessary. someone who will make the raiders regret encroaching on this kingdom for the rest of their lives." Ulick left out how brief those lives would be.

Ulick was of course suggesting himself. However he could think of at least one other who would be a good choice.

"I'm Canis," He nodded, staring at the wall that was infront of his hanging head. "I'd shake your hand but I believe being carried has made me become momentarily lazy. Or maybe it's the blood I lost from that sucking wound in my leg." He made a movement that seemed enough like a shrug.

Roeta caught on, smirking a moment. "Well, Sir Ulick, you have lead drills that are almost as ferice as actual battles, so, I believe you would be the best choice." She said with a lady-like tone.

"Alright Canis. We'll get you out of here and to a healer as soon as we can." Dieter reassured. They weren't too far away from the entrance now.

Ulick grinned "exellent choice your highness, I'll get to work assembling the troops and supplies necessary for this campaign as soon as your sister and the others get back. one other thing I may need is assistance selecting the mages to accompany me."

Ulick paused for a moment his thoughts returning to Arian, Dieter and the rest, "they have been gone for a while, I wonder what they found....."

"That's good to hear. Thank you..." Canis seemed to be having a much easier time saying it as he went along, though he only then noticed how tired he was. He hadn't slept since he had been hit. But he fought for consciousness, he wouldn't let himself fall asleep in the presence of strangers, it was not the Canis way to sleep in a vulnerable position.

Reota smiled. "I'll be more than happy to help personally there, I know almost every naitive mage, you see."
About that time they reached the entrance. It suddenly hit him. "How are we going to get him up spiral stairs without hurting him?"

Arian looked around... this was going to be tricky no matter what. "we do out best... " she knew there had to be an easier way but her mind just wasn't focused on the task.

"Yes, that could be potentially problematic couldn't it..." Canis sighed, lifting his head up to survey the others.

Reine grinned. "Would rope be helpful?"
"I'd think so." Dieter replied, looking annoied at the obvious question. "Why? Do you have any?"
The girl snorted. "No? Why would I?"
"Then why'd you bring it up?"
"Cause, I can get one in a matter of moments." She said Haughtily.
A few moments passed, the girl's arms crossed in a triumphant manner.
"Well?"
"Well what?"
Dieter frowned. "Are you going to get it?"
"Say please."

Ulick swore he could feel Abhorson laughing at something. well, something other than the iminent campaign of bloodshed.

He mentally asked the sentient axe "what's so funny?"

Abhorson's reply was cryptic. "Have you ever seen an animal lead to slaughter?"

"yes, your point?"

"I'll tell you about it later"

"jerk."

the silent laughter intensified
